GSSA is excited to announce the formation of the GSSA Jack Hermans Youth Soccer Academy...a weekly one hour soccer experience for our youngest players just learning the game. The focus is on FUN and all sessions are led by Jack Hermans, GSSA’s Director of Coaching and Player Development. The Fall Academy session starts on Sunday, September 7th so register now.

Mark Schmidt, GSSA Bd Member, presented Reid McLean with the first GSSA GiveBack Scholarship at the annual Sycamore High School Awards Banquet. The Scholarship, new this year, is being awarded to a High School Senior who has given alot of time to the GSSA organization as either a player, referee, or coach. Mr Schmidt had coached Reid in GSSA SAY Passers, Wings, and Seniors over the years and was proud to present the award. Reid had also been active as a trained and qualified referee for GSSA. He had refereed many games with his dad at different levels of play. Reid will be attending Georgia Tech this fall to study mechanical engineering.
